In 1985, Carol Ann started the Pixie-Bob breed. One of her foundation females was a cat named
Pixie.. Pixie not only had legendary heritage but also
had a distinctively "wild look". She was covered with muted spotting on her reddish-fawn coat and
had a very "wild face", reminiscent of a Bobcat. This look is what inspired the making of this breed.
It is our purpose, as members of the Pixie-Bob Breeders Association, to see that these cats are
recognized and valued for their unique "wild look" and their kind, gentle nature.
